when grandma comes to play...mom and dad go on vaycay!
The hardest part of having a child is leaving them. I was excited to go on vacation, but nervous at the same time. Would he miss me? Would he eat? Would his schedule be followed?
Was he going to crawl while we were gone?
Trey and I hadn't been on vacation since our cruise last spring break. That was when I was about 7 weeks pregnant. My how things have changed and how time has flown. Our lives have been flipped completely upside down, and I wouldn't change it for the world!
We cruised with some people we had never met before: CJ and Kaylin, Jason and Lauren, Amy and Pat, Justin and Kelly. The great thing about living in Florida is that we have access to 4 different cruise ports...we settled on a 3-Day Bahamas cruise from Miami. I'm not too fond of the Bahamas, but it was a cruise...and a much-needed vaycay.
Our first stop was CocoCay, Royal Caribbean's private island. We had a great time lounging in the water and walking the beach.
Our second stop was Nassau, where we hit up Atlantis and did a little shopping. The Miss Universe Pageant was in town, it was crazy!
Trey played Caribbean Stud Poker and Roulette in the casino while I did shots with the ladies. We had so much fun! CJ was definitely a source of entertainment with his drunken antics (ie, falling in the pool, dancing with random ladies, hitting on our waitress).
So while I don't want to leave Reece again anytime soon, Trey and I had a wonderful time together and reminded ourselves why we love each other so much. Oh, and remember all those $1 toiletries I wrote about in my last post? I definitely didn't use all that lotion.
