it's a boy!

Exactly one year ago today I was at Dr. Kalter's office getting my 20-week ultrasound.

My toenails were painted pink.

Trey wore a blue shirt.

The ultrasound specialist measured arm bones and leg bones, looked at the spine and the head, took pictures of all the organs.

We got to see this little person squirming and flipping all over the place.

Then, she told us "It's a BOY!" and confirmed with a view of his "business".

Trey gave me a little smirk, I wiped away a tear, and right there we named our little man.

Reece Alec Lanum.

Now our amazing little miracle is 6 days shy of being 8 months old. I just cannot believe it! What a wild, amazing ride we have been on since then! So from that contemplative pose that he had in his ultrasound, to this goofy smile he gave us today....I am so thankful for every moment we have together, the way his eyes light up when he sees me, every giggle in the bathtub, and wet, slobbery kiss he gives me. I am 100% head-over-heels in love.

OH, and the pink toenails? Long gone...blue is SUCH a better color on me!
