along for the ride

Yesterday Trey, Reece, and I drove to Ft. Lauderdale to go to Mac's third birthday party. I really cannot believe he is three already. I remember the night he was born!

Macallan has a minor obsession with all things truck. So.....the theme of the party: TRUCKS. Hi lovely cake was missing the toy trucks on it, though, 'cause he needed to play with them!

Reece was in hog heaven pushing Mac's trucks all over the place. We brought a bunch of our own, but who needs our stuff, when you can play with someone elses?

Yes, we were barefoot. In January. In the dirt and woodchips. We were dirty and we LOVED it!
There were two bounce houses there. A big one for the big kids (don't tell Reece that) and a smaller one for the mini-kids.

Reece was totally smitten over these bounce houses. They're relatively inexpensive, we may have to look into getting one. I'm sure we could get a lot of miles out of that thing!
Bounce, bounce, bounce....

It takes about 3 hours to get there, and 3 to get back...Reece was a dream the entire time. Not one meltdown, just a poop and a leg-stretch were needed. He is such a good traveller. I don't think I could love him any more!

Our newest obsession is this little blue wagon.

I bought it on clearance at Target last summer and have been using it as a little toy box since. The other night I put Reece in it and pulled him around the house. He tantrumed for a good 10 minutes when it was time to get out. This week he has found that it's pretty darn fun to put a doggie in there and pull the dog around the house. He yells "daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah" and points to the wagon when he wants the a dog to ride along.
Poor dogs, they're such good sports, surprisingly. They just continue to take the abuse from this kid!

I think the look on Riley's face says it all...
